Tips for getting the best value car rental in Croatia

Rhinocarhire.com is a car hire comparator who search and compare prices from all of the rental agents above and bring together the best value car rental in Croatia. We’re confident you’ll get a great deal with Rhino, but here are other some tips to bear in mind to help you even more;
Book in Advance

You’ll likely get the best price the further in advance you can book. As soon as you’ve booked your flights try and book your rental car. Don’t take up the airline car rental option, you’ll likely pay more than you need to. Rhino offer a free cancellation policy so you can cancel at any time (up to 48 hours before pick up) for a full refund.
Fuel Policy

We’d always recommend a Full to Full fuel policy, just fill the tank before you hand it back and you won’t have any fuel charges other than what you use.
Mileage Limit

Check for mileage limits, often the cheaper rentals will impose a limit on the mileage included with the rental. If you exceed that limit, you’ll pay a ‘per km’ fee.
In Terminal

We recommend ‘in terminal’ suppliers (you can filter by supplier location in Rhino search results) for convenience. Some cheaper suppliers are a short tide transfer from the airport however.
Excess Deposit

Check the excess deposit and insurance options available as a minor bump or scratch could end up costing a lot of money. The rental agent will offer a zero excess insurance product, or you can take an excess insurance policy from Rhino or other third-party policies are available that are often cheaper but still require you to leave the excess deposit on arrival.
Credit Card Required

You’ll need a credit card to rent a car in Croatia, some rental agents may accept a debit card as is becoming increasingly accepted for car rental in general, however we recommend you check with the rental agent / Rhino to avoid any surprises when you come to collect.
Minimum Age

You must be 18 to drive in Croatia, however you need to be 21 to rent a car. A young driver surcharge will apply to all drivers under 25.
